1. What is the duration of the program?

There is no defined end date for the courses. Once you enroll, you will have perpetual access. However, we strongly encourage you to set a schedule for completing each course.

2. How does access to help work?

After enrolling, you can email us with questions and we will answer your inquiry within 24 hours. We can also arrange a private online meeting for a more detailed explanation and discussion if necessary. Ultimately, we want you to succeed and will do our best to get you there. We will also have online group discussions where you can ask questions and learn from others.

3. Why were the designated software programs chosen for the courses? What if I want to use something else?

Microsoft Excel is a common software program used among businesses and individuals to tabulate and analyze data. Knowing how to use Excel is a requirement for every professional role. Microsoft Access is a program that shares many features with a more robust data querying and management program called SQL. Access is a much easier tool for non-technical (i.e., no coding knowledge) individuals to learn and use. Our courses are designed for the non-technical audience and Access is a great tool to introduce basic concepts related to database querying and data management. In addition, both Excel and Access are often bundled into a single license so most enterprise-based Windows operating systems will have them pre-installed or readily available without any additional cost.

Alteryx and Tableau are leading data preparation and visualization programs in the market, respectively. They stand out among their competitors for exceptional ease of learning and use. Our intention was to minimize the time required to learn specific software and focus more on concepts, methods, and value creation using data. After becoming proficient with Alteryx and Tableau, you will be able to transfer the knowledge gained from our courses and easily apply it to other similar software. If your organization uses either or both programs, then you can immediately apply the newly gained knowledge.

We will continue to expand the scope of software programs covered in our courses with an emphasis on free software programs such as SQLite and Google Sheets.
